Kar-Tainer starts new Cars in Container project in Shanghai

Through a cooperation with the Danish container line Maersk, Kar-Tainer is starting a new car in containers project in Shanghai, China. Electric cars will be loaded into containers in Shanghai before setting sail for European markets.

Kar-Tainer is supplying our 3-car CBU Cassette Systems for this project which will start in May this year. Equipment is being built by our long-term partners at AE Manufacturing in South Africa and by our new contract manufacturer in Vietnam, Thaco Engineering. First shipments have already arrived Shanghai, and the stage is being set for training to start, and the project to go live in the coming weeks.
